What can be seen in Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny)?

Eight Characters (Ba Zi), Zi Wei Dou Shu, Qi Men Dun Jia, Feng Shui, face reading, etc., are all tools that can be used for prediction. So, which of these five arts is more accurate? I can only say that each has its own advantages, and of course, there's a so-called hierarchy of these arts circulating online. Just take it with a grain of salt. If you want to predict

something, such as whether buying a house will be profitable, or whether you should start a business, then Qi Men Dun Jia, Liu Yao, or Plum Blossom Divination are more suitable. If you want to comprehensively understand your overall life trajectory, then Eight Characters, Zi Wei Dou Shu, or Western astrology are more appropriate choices. Now let's talk about what Eight Characters can reveal:

  1. Personality. Personality determines destiny. Analyzing personality involves looking at your thinking and behavioral patterns—are you an "I" person or an "E" person? Do you prefer excitement or quiet solitude? Are you good at logical judgment or emotional connection? This is actually the foundation of Eight Characters analysis. Behavioral patterns determine many of your choices. If you're afraid of loss, you dare not take the first step; if you're afraid of loneliness, you need companionship. To change your destiny, you must first change your thinking and accompanying behavioral patterns.
  2. Career direction: Is there an opportunity to take the civil service exam or start your own business? Whether someone is suited for business, whether to run a large business or just a small stall, the magnitude of their success, and whether things go smoothly.
  3.  Financial fortune: Career is not the same as financial fortune; some people are born into wealth even without effort. A person's birth chart (Ba Zi) can reveal how they acquire wealth and their financial situation.
  4. Education: This requires more explanation. Education is not necessarily a degree. Friends often ask about someone's educational background. In today's society, as long as a family has some means and is willing, they can easily get their child a bachelor's degree. If born into a wealthy family, a doctorate from a prestigious university is easily attainable. (Remember the story of the billionaire donating to Harvard? That's the point; once you have enough money, education becomes irrelevant.) Therefore, when encountering people with limited education, it's essential to first consider their birth year, era, and city. For example, in first-tier cities, most middle-class families will find ways to send their children to school, even spending extra money overseas to obtain a degree. The Eight Characters (Ba Zi) can reveal whether a child finds studying relatively easy, whether they have a talent for academics, and whether their luck cycles (Da Yun) align with their studies. 5. Marriage: Marriage is not the same as dating, as I mentioned in my article "Your True Love Isn't the Soulmate You Want." Dating is a momentary emotional outburst, utilizing the power of the Eating God and Hurting Officer stars. Marriage is more complex and requires consideration of many factors. The Eight Characters can reveal whether your marriage will be smooth, what type of partner you will find, your romantic luck, your relationship dynamics, and whether you will benefit from the marriage. Remember, no one is destined not to marry, and no one's destiny is necessarily destined for divorce. 6. Family Relationships: The status of parents, siblings, spouse, children, etc., their influence on you, and the depth of your intimacy and the strength of your bond. 7. Health: Which parts of the body are prone to problems? What is your innate health condition, and when are you most likely to get sick? 8. Misfortunes: Are you prone to accidents, lawsuits, or criminal activity? 9. Luck Cycle: There's a saying that good luck is worse than good destiny. Many people have ordinary Eight Characters, but a particularly good luck cycle can significantly elevate their overall fortune. The Eight Characters (Ba Zi) can tell you when things will be relatively smooth, and when you will encounter difficulties and hardships, whether in marriage, finances, or work. 10. The overall structure, simply put, indicates your level of wealth and status—whether you will achieve nobility, wealth, or both. It also indicates the approximate level of wealth and status. 11. The pathways and directions are favorable to you. It indicates whether you have good fortune with benefactors, whether it's better to work for someone from a reputable platform or partner with friends, and in which years are favorable for advancement and in which years require caution, etc.
